Overview
SummaryThe Regulatory Compliance Terms and Conditions Analyst is responsible for supporting Electric Boat’s contracting activities through expert review, analysis, negotiation, and compliance oversight. This role ensures adherence to contract and acquisition regulations, mitigates contractual risk, and provides guidance to internal stakeholders on complex contractual and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and negotiate contractual terms for defense-related contracts and other agreements.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal acquisition requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency‑specific clauses.
Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to legal, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Serve as a subject matter expert on contract interpretation, flow‑down requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor regulatory changes and emerging requirements impacting defense contracts and advise leadership on required updates
Support training activities related to contractual compliance for the supply chain organization
Support the supply chain organization with regulated subcontracting activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or Finance
2+ years of demonstrated supply chain and/or contract experience (such as Contract Management, Compliance/Regulatory experience, Supply Chain Logistics experience)
Experience working cross-functionally in a regulated environment
Applicant must possess or be able to secure secret or higher DOD clearance
Preferred Qualifications
2 - 9 years of demonstrated contract experience such as contract management, compliance/regulatory experience
Experience reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions in a defense or federal contracting environment
Skills
Demonstrated ability of regulatory compliance experience and risk management
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and gain stakeholder influence
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
Business acumen within a defense contracting environment
Ethical decision-making and confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procedures
Proficient verbal and written communication skills; work product sample to demonstrate proficient writing ability desired
Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual language
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities
Demonstrated ability to analyze, think critically, and determine practical solutions to compliance issues
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
Strong writing skills; ability to write contract language
