Lead Risk Analyst
About this role
HERE Technologies is hiring a Lead Risk Analyst, full-time, on-site in Chicago, IL, in the INFRASTRUCTURE sector.
What's the role?
As a Lead Risk Analyst, you will help guide the responsible adoption of AI technologies across HERE. You will work across multiple functions to assess AI risks, support compliance initiatives, improve governance processes, and help teams navigate evolving regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct AI impact assessments and evaluate risks related to safety, transparency, privacy, security, fairness, human oversight, and compliance.
Support governance reviews for internally developed and externally sourced AI systems and provide practical recommendations to address identified risks.
Coordinate compliance and certification activities by partnering with Product, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Legal, Procurement, and external stakeholders.
Review AI vendors, products, and services to assess governance, regulatory, privacy, security, and operational considerations.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of AI governance frameworks, standards, workflows, and operational processes.
Create guidance, training materials, and best practices that help teams understand and fulfill their responsibilities throughout the AI lifecycle.
Who are you?
You bring experience helping organizations manage technology, governance, risk, or regulatory requirements while collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
You have:
Experience in AI governance, Responsible AI, technology governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
Knowledge of the EU AI Act and familiarity with AI-related regulations, standards, and governance frameworks.
Experience conducting risk assessments, compliance reviews, audits, or governance evaluations for technology products and services.
The ability to analyze technical and business information and translate requirements into practical recommendations and actions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience developing policies, standards, operational procedures, guidance materials, or training programs.
Familiarity with AI systems, machine learning technologies, large language models, or agent-based AI solutions.
The expected base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, which is subject to company and individual performance.
