Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.
We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.
As the Manager, Global Service Tooling & Equipment, you will lead the strategy, development, deployment, and ongoing management of the tools, equipment, and infrastructure that power Lucid's growing service network. Supporting more than 30 service locations across North America, you'll partner with Service Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, and Supplier partners to ensure technicians have the right tools, equipment, and resources to deliver exceptional customer experiences. From launching next-generation mobile service fleets and enabling new service centers to driving tooling readiness for future vehicle programs, this highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to build scalable systems, lead critical programs, and directly influence Lucid's ability to service and support its rapidly expanding vehicle portfolio.- Own the Global Service Tooling & Equipment program across 30+ North American service locations, supporting Service Centers, Mobile Service, Body Repair, field teams, and hundreds of technicians.
- Lead the development and deployment of a fleet of Mobile Service vehicle, including vehicle configuration, equipment layout, storage systems, compressors, power solutions, tooling packages, safety requirements, technician usability, prototyping, validation, and production rollout.
- Lead and develop the Service Tooling team, establishing clear ownership for daily tooling operations, ordering, deployment, inventory management, vendor coordination, tooling audits, and field support.
- Partner with Facilities and Service Operations on new Service Center readiness, including shop layouts, vehicle lifts, alignment and ADAS equipment, battery handling equipment, diagnostic systems, compressed air, specialty equipment, installation, commissioning, and launch.
- Own and continuously improve Lucid's Service Tooling Catalog and associated tooling-management systems, maintaining a centralized source of truth for approved tools, specifications, part numbers, suppliers, pricing, deployment status, and field requirements.
- Define Lucid's tooling strategy for existing and future vehicle platforms, including general service tooling, special service tools, diagnostic equipment, high-voltage equipment, shop equipment, lifting solutions, and restricted/safety-critical tooling.
- Partner with Engineering and Field Service Engineering to translate vehicle service requirements into scalable tooling solutions, ensuring tools are validated and available before vehicle and service-program launches.
- Own tooling readiness for new vehicle programs, identifying tooling requirements, validation plans, supplier lead times, deployment risks, technician requirements, and launch-readiness gates.
- Establish standardized tooling packages and equipment specifications for new and existing Service Centers to ensure consistency, technician productivity, safety, and cost control across the network.
- Manage strategic tooling and equipment suppliers from sourcing through deployment, including technical requirements, RFQs/RFPs, quotation review, commercial negotiations, purchase planning, delivery schedules, installations, issue resolution, warranty support, and supplier performance.
- Develop sourcing and standardization strategies that balance serviceability, technician usability, safety, cost, lead time, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
- Establish tooling request, approval, ordering, tracking, audit, and corrective-action workflows to maintain visibility and control as the service network scales.
- Develop and maintain processes for tooling audits, missing-tool recovery, restricted-tool control, loan tools, asset tracking, calibration, maintenance, and replacement planning.
- Monitor tooling and equipment readiness across the service network and proactively identify gaps that could impact vehicle repair capability, technician productivity, customer experience, or vehicle-program launches.
- Support field escalations and service campaigns requiring rapid development, sourcing, modification, or deployment of tools and equipment.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement to develop annual tooling budgets, forecasts, capital requirements, spend controls, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and reporting for areas such as tooling readiness, deployment status, supplier performance, order lead time, equipment uptime, audit compliance, launch readiness, spend, and program risk.
- Provide regular program updates to Service leadership, clearly communicating readiness, risks, dependencies, financial impact, and required decisions.
- Build scalable SOPs, operating playbooks, documentation, and governance that allow the Service Tooling organization to support Lucid's continued growth.
