Job Description
As a Marketing Engineering Intern, you will use your technical background to help shape how industrial power solutions are positioned, explained, and brought to market. You will work on real product marketing and launch initiatives, translating technical concepts into clear materials for customers, sales teams, and other partners. This is a strong fit if you are pursuing an engineering degree and want to explore work beyond a traditional design-engineering role.
You will join the Supply of Power business and collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, and regional marketing teams. You will work onsite in Milwaukee, WI at the start of the internship, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule as you become established in the role.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist with product marketing strategies, product launches, and go-to-market materials for industrial power solutions.
- Create and maintain marketing collateral, presentations, technical content, application stories, and white papers.
- Develop clear customer value propositions and messaging that explains the value of Rockwell Automation solutions.
- Conduct competitive product, market, customer-needs, and emerging-technology research.
- Support field sales teams with product information, training, and customer-facing materials.
- Develop customer success stories, case studies, and content for Automation Fair®, ROKLive, and other industry events.
- Support digital marketing, demand generation, sales enablement, reputation-building, and customer awareness programs.
- Collaborate across engineering, product management, sales, and regional marketing teams on multiple projects.
- Help translate technical concepts into information that customers and non-technical audiences can understand.
- Contribute to project-based work that may include customer or field exposure and hands-on technical assignments.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Active enrollment in a Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technical Marketing, or a related technical discipline.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Interest in industrial automation, electrical power, manufacturing, product management, or technical marketing.
- Previous internship, co-op, academic project, technical writing, presentation, or leadership experience.
- Experience developing or presenting technical content for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple projects or working across different functional teams.
- Interest in combining engineering knowledge with customer, business, and marketing strategy.

For this role, the Hourly Salary Compensation is from $20 - $32. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.
Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
