π Mark Your Calendar: Space & Satellites USA 2026, hosted by Reuters Events
On November 9, Jamie Morin, VP of Defense Strategic Space, will participate in two sessions:
Global Space Governance: National Sovereignty vs. Commercial Scale Jamie moderates this keynote panel featuring James Mason (Planet), Emile DeRijk (SWISSto12), Scot Currie (BlackSky), and Audrey Schaffer (Slingshot Aerospace). The conversation will dig into the EU Space Act, whether domestic policy acts as a safeguard or a barrier, and what responsible orbital citizenship truly looks like.
Moon in the Middle: Why the U.S. Must Dominate Cislunar Space Jamie joins CACI International Inc's CTO, Jason Bales, for a fireside chat exploring the security challenges in the Earth-Moon domain, the technologies driving cislunar awareness, and the partnerships required to lead beyond GEO.

Why this matters for talent
This is an event notice, but the agenda shows what the sector is thinking about: sovereignty, regulation and cislunar security. Those conversations eventually turn into programs, and programs turn into roles. The Aerospace Corporation has more than 400 open roles on the board. People with policy fluency alongside technical depth tend to be scarce, and they are useful to have when these topics reach budgets.
