YFQ-44A Completes Second Exercise with the U.S. Air Force

Anduril Industries Aerospace Update August 18, 2026

We must arm America’s fighter pilots with robotic wingmen. The United States Air Force and Anduril have completed a critical step in realizing that mission.

Why this matters for talent

A second exercise for the YFQ-44A means the collaborative combat aircraft effort is progressing on schedule rather than slipping, which matters because CCA is the program most likely to fund aerospace autonomy hiring over the next few years. Flight test, mission systems, and manufacturing engineering are the roles that scale first when a prototype starts flying with the Air Force. Anduril has by far the largest listing count of any company on the mobility board, and defense aviation is where a lot of it sits.
