Today Astranis announces a $468 million credit facility from Export-Import Bank of the United States

Astranis Aerospace Update September 30, 2026

The financing will ramp domestic production of our next-generation GEO satellites and expand our capacity to build and operate satellites in the U.S. as we meet growing global demand for sovereign, dedicated connectivity.

"Maintaining American leadership in space requires the capital to build fast and deliver at scale. This financing is a huge vote of confidence in Astranis to do that." - John Gedmark, Astranis CEO and Cofounder

Why this matters for talent

A second Astranis post on the same $468 million Export-Import Bank credit facility covered above, explicitly framed around ramping domestic GEO satellite production capacity. The same signal holds: Astranis carries more than 167 open roles on the board, and financing tied directly to production ramp tends to widen manufacturing and test hiring.
