We're building more than rockets. We're building the workforce to build them

Blue Origin Aerospace Product October 29, 2026

Blue Origin is launching ATLAS (Advanced Training and Learning Academy for Space), the first U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program built exclusively for space manufacturing. No four-year degree required. Apprentices join Team Blue as full-time employees from day one, earning competitive wages and benefits while building real flight hardware alongside our engineers and trainers.

Our pilot launches this quarter in Huntsville, in partnership with Drake State Community and Technical College. This is just the beginning.

Why this matters for talent

Launching a Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program that requires no four-year degree is a meaningful signal that Blue Origin is building its own talent pipeline for space manufacturing rather than competing solely for engineers with degrees. This is worth watching for anyone without a traditional aerospace background. Blue Origin is the largest employer on the entire jobs board, with well over 1,660 open roles.
