Hermeus reaching Mach 1.6 on only four flights and under 90 minutes of total flight time is a serious flight test tempo milestone that separates them from hypersonic competitors still stuck in simulation. Rapid iteration at this speed requires a tight loop between aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight test engineering, all of which are hard-to-fill roles where experienced candidates have significant leverage. The pace of progress makes Hermeus one of the more credible near-term hypersonic employers in the defense sector.
