Inspired by Kelly Johnson’s “one miracle per program” mantra, each Quarterhorse aircraft solves a defined set of engineering problems and takes us one step closer to building the world’s fastest operational aircraft.
The roadmap is rigorous, rapid, and meticulously designed. We break it down below.
Why this matters for talent
Hermeus says it went from no flown aircraft to supersonic flight in two years, and it is now working toward Mach 2 and beyond. That pace tells you what the job is like: rapid iteration, one defined engineering problem per aircraft, and a lot of flight test. Hermeus has more than 70 open roles on the board. Engineers who want hardware that flies soon should look here, but ask about the pace.
