We're pleased to see NVIDIA featuring the Altair constellation

Loft Orbital Aerospace Product October 13, 2026

"Altair-1, the first satellite in a $1 billion, 50-satellite constellation with on-board autonomous capabilities, launched this month and has successfully reached orbit. Integrated by Loft Orbital and built in Abu Dhabi by Orbitworks, a joint venture between Loft Orbital and Marlan Space, the satellite is flying NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules, running Mistral’s models, for real-time Earth observation and autonomous operations in orbit."

For years, Loft has been flying AI at the edge to build smarter satellite infrastructure. Now, with the Altair constellation, we are scaling these capabilities, flying NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules and running Mistral models for real-time Earth observation and autonomous operations in orbit.

Why this matters for talent

This is a follow up post on the same Altair constellation news NVIDIA featured, reinforcing that Loft Orbital is leaning into the on-orbit AI compute story this week. The talent signal is the same as the first post: continued investment in edge AI for space, against 59 open roles on the board.
