DRONE SUCCESS STORY!

Skydio Aerospace Update October 2, 2026

On May 1st, an 89-year-old man was reported missing and traditional efforts were unable to locate him. An LVMPD drone was quickly deployed to search additional areas and, with persistence paying off, the pilot was able to locate the man lying in the middle of the desert. Officers raced to the scene and rendered aid until medical personnel arrived.

Our drones aren’t just for locating suspects; they’re for saving lives, too.

Why this matters for talent

A Las Vegas police department post crediting a Skydio drone with locating a missing 89-year-old man in the desert. It is a customer success story highlighting public safety use cases rather than a hiring signal directly, though Skydio carries more than 138 open roles on the board and continues to post individual role openings this week as noted elsewhere in this feed.
