About this role

Anduril Industries is hiring a Fleet Sustainment Manager, full-time, on-site in Costa Mesa, California, United States, in the Aerospace sector.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s Technical Operations team supports deployed systems throughout their operational lifecycle. Working with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Deployment Operations, the team sustains fielded hardware and resolves issues that affect mission readiness. Accurate documentation, reliable inventory records, and effective coordination are essential to supporting this fleet as it grows.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Fleet Sustainment Manager to own the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the records and operational workflows supporting Anduril’s deployed assets. You will ensure that each deployed site is accurately represented in our internal systems, with current documentation, accountable inventory, and clearly tracked hardware and quality issues.

You will serve as a primary coordination partner for Technical Operations, helping field teams navigate internal systems, document issues, and engage the teams needed to resolve them. From identifying a discrepancy to coordinating corrective action, you will maintain ownership of follow-through and ensure records reflect the work completed in the field.

This role requires strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving, and the ability to drive action across teams. The ideal candidate takes ownership of ambiguous problems, builds reliable processes, and understands how accurate operational data supports fleet readiness and mission success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own deployed-site documentation. Maintain required records for each site, including asset configurations, installation documentation, maintenance history, and supporting operationalinformation. Ensure documentation is complete, current, and accessible throughout the site lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate records across systems. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure site status, hardware configurations, asset assignments, and service records consistently reflect actual field conditions. Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with the appropriate owners.
  • Ensure site inventory accuracy. Track deployed hardware, serialized assets, replacements, transfers, and returns. Reconcile system records with field activity and coordinate periodic inventory verification with Technical Operations and Logistics.
  • Support hardware and quality issue management. Work with Technical Operations to ensure hardware failures, defects, and other quality concerns are documented with the information needed for investigation and action. Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to establish ownership, track next steps, and facilitate resolution.
  • Drive issues through closure. Maintain visibility into open actions, dependencies, and overdue items. Escalate blockers, communicate progress, and verify that completed work is reflected in the appropriate site, asset, and issue records.
  • Resolve system and workflow obstacles. Serve as a coordination point when Technical Operations encounters problems with internal tools, data, or processes. Translate field feedback into actionable requirements and engage the appropriate teams to deliver solutions.
  • Coordinate updates throughout the asset lifecycle. Ensure installations, hardware swaps, repairs, configuration changes, and decommissions are captured accurately and consistently across relevant systems.
  • Improve processes and tools. Identify recurring documentation gaps, inventory discrepancies, and workflow inefficiencies. Develop practical standards, templates, and system improvements that reduce administrative burden and improve data reliability.
  • Provide clear fleet visibility. Maintain reporting on documentation completeness, inventory discrepancies, open hardware issues, and outstanding actions so stakeholders can prioritize work and address recurring problems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in technical operations, asset management, logistics, fleet sustainment, or a related operational role.
  • Experience maintaining accurate asset, inventory, maintenance, or configuration records within enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and drive outstanding issues to resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities across numerous deployed sites.
  • Ability to document technical issues clearly, establish actionable next steps, and communicate effectively with technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience using issue-tracking, inventory management, or enterprise resource planning tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting deployed hardware, distributed infrastructure, or complex technical systems.
  • Experience with serialized inventory, configuration management, hardware repair and return workflows, or quality issue tracking.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational processes, data quality, and system adoption.
  • Experience partnering directly with field service or Technical Operations teams.
  • Ability to turn recurring field issues into measurable improvements in tools, documentation, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Oracle/ERP systems, or comparable operational platforms.
