Deployment Operations Coordinator
About this role
Archer Aviation is hiring a Deployment Operations Coordinator, full-time, on-site in San Jose, California, United States, in the eVTOL sector.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, Archer is a leader in the next-gen aerospace sector building an end-to-end advanced air mobility platform that delivers air taxis, unmanned aircraft systems (“UAS”), aviation-related physical artificial intelligence (“AI”) solutions, and other technologies to customers worldwide across the commercial aerospace and defense sectors.
Our sights are set high and our problems are hard, and we believe that diversity in the workplace is what makes us smarter, drives better insights, and will ultimately lift us all to success. We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.
Archer is best known for Midnight, our electric aircraft. This role isn't on that program. The AI Products Org builds consumer software for the general aviation industry. There's a lot we're not ready to talk about publicly yet, so this posting stays vague on purpose. What we can say: the products are real, they ship, and people use them every day.
As the Deployment Operations Coordinator, you'll identify, research, and secure host locations near airports for Vantage receiver installations. You'll be the first point of contact with prospective host businesses — researching candidate sites, cold-calling and emailing property owners and operators, and negotiating hosting agreements — then handing off clean, well-documented sites to the Deployment Engineering team for installation. You'll also assist with the backend administrative work that keeps the pipeline moving: tracking outreach, processing agreements and paperwork, and coordinating scheduling between hosts and the field team.
This role involves equal parts research, phone/email outreach, and the follow-through to keep every site moving from first contact to signed agreement to install-ready.
Research & Outreach:
- Identify candidate businesses near target airports suitable for hosting Vantage receivers (rooftop access, line-of-sight, power availability, etc.)
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective host sites, researching ownership, decision-makers, and site suitability before outreach
- Cold-call and email property/business owners to pitch hosting the equipment, answer questions, and move interested parties toward an agreement
- Track outreach activity, responses, and pipeline status in a CRM or tracking system
Site Agreements & Backend Operations:
- Draft, send, and track hosting agreements and related paperwork through signature
- Maintain accurate records for each site: contact info, agreement status, site specs, and any special access/logistics notes
- Coordinate scheduling and handoff of signed, install-ready sites to the Deployment Engineering team
- Support general program administration — reporting on pipeline metrics, maintaining site databases, and flagging bottlenecks
Coordination:
- Act as liaison between host businesses and Archer's field team before and after install (initial site walk questions, access coordination, follow-up)
- Communicate professionally and persistently with businesses that may be unfamiliar with the technology or hesitant to host equipment
About The Team:
AI Products is a roughly 100-person software org inside a company of aerospace engineers, and we expect to grow substantially over the next year. You get the resources and momentum of a real org, but the products themselves are early. If you want to hear more about what we're building before you apply, you can't. Apply, and we'll tell you plenty.
At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
