Security Systems & Technology Lead
About this role
Hadrian is hiring a Security Systems & Technology Lead, full-time, on-site in Los Angeles, CA, in the Aerospace sector.
Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.
Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.
Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.
If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role
Hadrian's Physical Security team protects the people, factories and export-controlled work behind Hadrian's growth. We are opening new factories and facilities at a rapid pace, and every one of them needs security systems designed, built and commissioned to a single standard, so each new site is a standard package and not a new project.
You will own the technology behind Hadrian's physical security program: access control, video surveillance and the systems around them, from security input on construction drawings through installation, commissioning and day-to-day administration. You'll set the standards, run several site builds and platform migrations at the same time, and hold integrators to the work. You'll partner closely with IT, Facilities, Information Security and the Facility Security Officer, and report to the Director of Physical Security. This is an individual contributor role based on site in Torrance, CA, San Francisco, CA or Mesa, AZ, with travel up to 30% to Hadrian sites.
What You’ll Do
Deliver security systems for every new facility on time, from security design input on construction drawings through install and commissioning, working with architects, general contractors and integrators.
Write and own the security systems standards by site type, including door hardware and commissioning requirements, and confirm every system works before a site opens.
Lead the migration of multiple sites to a single enterprise access control platform, and select and roll out a new video management system across every site.
Manage security integrators and systems vendors across several builds at once, holding them to scope, schedule and standard.
Administer and integrate access control, video, visitor management and mass notification systems so they are easy to monitor and ready to support investigations.
Partner with IT, Information Security, Facilities and the Facility Security Officer on networked devices, door schedules and controlled-area requirements.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years designing, deploying or managing enterprise physical security systems, including access control and video management platforms, whether in house or at a security integrator.
Hands-on experience deploying and administering Lenel across an enterprise, multi-site environment.
Experience on construction projects, including reading drawings and working with architects, general contractors and integrators.
A record of holding integrators and contractors accountable, including rejecting work that does not meet spec.
Experience writing system standards, specifications and commissioning procedures that others build to.
Working knowledge of networking and comfort partnering with IT and Information Security teams.
What Will Set You Apart
Experience leading an access control platform migration across multiple sites.
Experience with PSIM platforms or perimeter detection systems.
Aerospace, defense or manufacturing site experience, including designing export-controlled areas.
PSP certification.
Benefits for Full-time Employees
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees
