Training Specialist
About this role
Hadrian is hiring a Training Specialist, full-time, on-site in Cherokee, AL, in the Aerospace sector.
Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.
Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.
Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.
If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
About the Workforce Development Team
The Workforce Development team is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of manufacturing talent within a challenging, equitable, and meritocratic environment.
Our goal is to accelerate the maturity and operational effectiveness of Hadrian's factories through targeted training programs.
The team is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive training system, driving software adoption, standardizing operational processes, and maintaining an integrated training and certification ecosystem.
The Role
We are opening a new factory in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and you will be part of the founding training team. Before our first technicians arrive, you will go through their onboarding and training yourself, test it, and help us refine it so the people who follow have the best possible start.
This is a general training role, not tied to a single trade. Deep training experience matters most here. Manufacturing experience is a bonus, and you will learn our production environment through time at our sites in Los Angeles and Arizona and through equipment manufacturer training.
What You Will Do
Ahead of our first technician cohort, you will experience the technician journey from onboarding through training and qualification, capture what works and what does not, and give clear feedback that shapes the experience before it goes live. You will help set up the training space and the logistics new starters rely on. You will spend time at our Los Angeles and Arizona sites learning how training runs in production, and attend equipment manufacturer training, sometimes at vendor locations, bringing what you learn back to Alabama. You will contribute to curriculum development and training documentation, and record training in our skills tracking system. As technicians come onsite, you will deliver onboarding, general and safety training across capabilities, support our trade-specific trainers, run evaluations, keep training records accurate and audit-ready, and give trainees day-to-day direction. Throughout, you will own the outcomes of the training you deliver and make recommendations when the program needs them.
What You Bring
Required
3+ years in a training, instructing or teaching role, with a strong track record of training adult learners.
Proven ability to train people from entry level to mid level.
Experience delivering structured training programs, including onboarding, classroom and hands-on instruction, and evaluation.
The ability to learn new content quickly and teach it to standard, including subjects outside your own background.
Experience contributing to training curriculum and documentation, and keeping accurate training records.
The ability to observe how people learn and give clear, objective, actionable feedback on a training program.
A self-starter who manages their own time, travel and priorities with minimal oversight.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including to Los Angeles, Arizona and vendor locations.
Preferred, not necessary
Manufacturing, production or skilled trades experience; our production environment is learned in role.
Experience standing up training for a new site, program or team.
Experience with instructional design or adult learning methods.
Experience in aerospace, defense or another regulated industry.
A passion for training, career development and rebuilding the nation's manufacturing workforce.
