About this role

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Senior Dev Sec Ops/AI Ops Engineer, full-time, on-site in El Segundo, CA, in the Aerospace sector.

The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation’s space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. As the operator of a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), we are broadly engaged across all aspects of space— delivering innovative solutions that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil and commercial customers. When you join our team, you’ll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.

At Aerospace, we are reimagining how we operate and deliver values to our customers using AI. It is an exciting time to join and help us shape our future. We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps/AIOps Engineer to help us build and manage the next generation of AI enabled Web and mobile agentic applications. You will work with a small team of bright and experienced software developers and cloud engineers to push the boundaries of Agentic operations supporting AI-native web and mobile solutions. The selected candidate will have a broad knowledge of agentic software development lifecycle, cloud infrastructure automation and will efficiently work with other software developers, security engineers, business analysts, stakeholders, and management to ensure reliable, secured, resilient software releases and operations.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Designing, building, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment/testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines
- Integrating security controls into the deployment pipeline
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable multi-cloud DevSecOps platform
- Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment workflows
- Provisioning and managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure using code templates
- Building centralized logging, tracing, and metrics pipelines
- Tracking system performance, logs, and up time to catch and fix issues
- Managing and scaling AI-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Performing root cause analysis for production incidents, and providing tier-2 or tier-3 supports
- Implementing automation to reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery) and enabling self-healing and improving overall system resilience.
- Build and improve CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD) to accelerate deployment velocity
- Applying standard security best practices (secrets management, least-privilege IAM, dependency scanning) as part of normal DevOps workflows — without owning deep security architecture.
- Guiding and mentoring junior engineers
