GM to invest in Lansing Delta Township's future

General Motors EV Update October 27, 2026

As the site celebrates 20 years and its highest production volume to date, this investment reflects the strength of the region and the people who continue to help shape General Motors future. Proud to see Lansing playing such an important role in delivering more choice for customers and strengthening U.S. manufacturing.

Why this matters for talent

A new investment in a 20-year-old plant at its highest production volume is GM reinforcing an existing manufacturing site rather than opening a new one, which is a safer signal for current Lansing employees than for net new hiring elsewhere. GM remains the largest single employer on the jobs board, with well over 650 open roles.
