America’s Greenest Companies 2027
One of America’s Greenest Companies 2027 — has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Developed by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group in partnership with GIST Impact, the America’s Greenest Companies ranking recognizes 650 U.S. companies based on independent review of publicly available sustainability data, including greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation and sustainability disclosures. For our part, we hold ourselves accountable at every level, embracing environmental, social and ethical responsibility to our employees, our customers and the communities in which we operate. We meet corporate sustainability head-on with some of the industry’s most proactive programs to reduce water consumption, emissions and hazardous waste. And for our customers, we expand access to high-performance electric lift trucks and power options that help them reduce emissions and advance their own sustainability goals while meeting demanding productivity and uptime requirements. Why this matters for talent
A sustainability ranking is not a hiring event, but the useful line here is the push on electric lift trucks and power options. Material handling is a steady employer, and electrification changes the skills it needs, particularly in power electronics, battery systems and field service. Hyster-Yale has more than 20 open roles on the board, a reasonable place to check if you want industrial work tied to that shift.
