When expertise comes together, possibilities multiply 🚀

Dematic Industrial Autonomy Exec Move November 3, 2026

Ten years ago, Dematic became part of KION Group. What followed was much more than bringing two companies together.

It was the coming together of people, perspectives, and expertise to help customers navigate increasingly complex supply chain challenges.

Across KION, including our sister companies STILL and Linde Material Handling, engineers, software specialists, service experts, back office and customer-facing teams have learned from one another, combining their knowledge to create more connected automation and supply chain solutions.

From joint projects with world-leading brands to advances in mobile automation, software, simulation and lifecycle services, we've made a lot possible together. But behind every milestone are the people who made it happen.

In our anniversary video, Rob Smith, Chief Executive Officer of KION Group, and Michael Larsson, President, Dematic & KION Americas and Member of the KION Executive Board, reflect on this journey and the opportunities ahead.

As KION continues its transformation into The Supply Chain Solutions Company, our shared ambition remains clear: helping customers build smarter, more connected and resilient operations.

Ten years have shown what we can achieve together. The next chapter is about what we can make possible for our customers.

Why this matters for talent

An anniversary video is not news, but the line about KION becoming a supply chain solutions company is a strategy statement. When a hardware group says that, expect more emphasis on software, simulation and lifecycle services. Dematic has more than 100 open roles on the board. People in warehouse automation should watch for how that positioning changes which skills get promoted.
