Last week, we were honored to host leaders from the California State Transportation Agency and the California Department of Motor
Vehicles at Kodiak's Mountain View headquarters.
It was a great chance to showcase our technology and team and show what safe autonomous trucking looks like in California. We also took advantage of our new Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit and offered demo rides.
The visit underlines a significant milestone for AV trucking in California. Only last month, Kodiak completed the first-ever autonomous long-haul freight delivery in California, with our DTL Transport.
Moving this technology forward safely takes more than good engineering. It takes open, ongoing collaboration with regulators who set standards and keep our roads safe.
Thank you to the California DMV and CalSTA for your time, your questions, and your partnership. We look forward to continuing the thoughtful conversations.

Why this matters for talent
Kodiak hosting California state transportation and DMV officials at its Mountain View headquarters, combined with its new Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit and a completed autonomous long haul delivery in the state, is a real regulatory and operational milestone. Kodiak carries more than 60 open roles on the board, and this kind of state level permitting progress is usually a leading indicator of operations and safety hiring in that market.
