Welcoming Ian Woodroofe as Chief Strategy Officer

Trapeze Group Mobility Infrastructure Partnership October 2, 2026

Welcoming Ian Woodroofe as Chief Strategy Officer. We're pleased to welcome Ian Woodroofe to Modaxo as our new Chief Strategy Officer, reporting to CEO Bill Delaney.

This newly created role gives Modaxo a portfolio-wide view of our growth opportunities and builds the strategic approach for realizing them. Ian will own market and competitive strategy across our verticals, build and coordinate the partnerships and customer relationships that span more than one Modaxo business, and support Modaxo's M&A process.

Ian brings more than two decades of experience in international transportation, payments and security, most recently with Cubic Transportation Systems and Thales.

Why this matters for talent

Modaxo hired a Chief Strategy Officer, Ian Woodroofe, in a newly created role covering market strategy, partnerships and M&A across its transit businesses. A new strategy seat usually precedes org changes rather than follows them, so this is worth watching alongside the Novvan and Routeward acquisition news from the same week. Modaxo currently carries more than 6 open roles on the board under its Trapeze Group listing.
