After delivering for more than 4,000 restaurants across the US, our robots have crossed the Pacific and are officially rolling along
DoorDash customers in the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct can now have meals delivered to their doorstep by robot, starting with Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers in Southport, and with more local restaurants to follow.
It’s Australia’s first autonomous footpath delivery service and our first market outside the US. The Gold Coast’s walkable neighbourhoods and openness to innovation made it a natural fit.
The fleet is making its home at Griffith University, where we’re also building internships and early-career roles for students and graduates in robotics, autonomy operations, and field engineering.
What we learn on these footpaths will shape how the service grows, both in the City of Gold Coast and across Australia.
Same robots, same mission, new hemisphere.

Why this matters for talent
Crossing into Australia as its first market outside the US is a genuine geographic expansion for Serve, not a test. The company is already building internships and early-career roles in robotics, autonomy operations, and field engineering at Griffith University, a direct talent signal worth watching for anyone early in those fields. Serve Robotics lists around 29 open roles on the jobs board.
